Jade is a Mastiff mix who was found wandering in a suburban neighborhood in Oklahoma.  A good samaritan took her in and attempted to find the owners without luck, so she came into rescue.  Jade is estimated at 5-6 years old.  She is a well behaved girl and walks well on a leash.  Her foster mom reports that she is good with other dogs and also kids but would do best in a home with older children.  She is housebroken and an overall great dog!  Jade is on the smaller side but should be around 100 pounds once she puts on some much needed weight.  If you are looking for a laid-back family dog, this is the girl for you!

Jade was recently diagnosed with a condition called Spondylosis, where she has bone spurs that have formed on her spine as a result of disk problems in her back.  Because of this, Jade will need to remain on an anti-inflammatory medication like Rimadyl for the remainder of her life.

Because of Jade's medical condition, she needs a quiet home where she won't have other dogs jumping on her and potentially hurting her.  She would also prefer a family where someone is home a lot of the time - is that home yours?

Jade is being fostered in Fort Worth, TX.
