Welcome Rob to Rescue! Rob was surrendered by his owners when they were moving and could not take him. He is about 1.5 to 2 years old, his owners couldn't remember his exact age so he probably is 1.5 years old. He definitely still has some puppy left in him! We suspect he may be part English Mastiff and part Bullmastiff as he's about 110 lbs and has a shorter muzzle that we usually see with English Mastiffs. Rob is a sweetheart! He had lived outside in a pen his whole life so most normal dog experiences are new to him and he is learning how to navigate this new life. He learned to enjoy inside life rather quickly, and is mostly house trained now after just a short time in his foster home. He has been working on building his confidence, and learning to wear his harness and leash so he could go to the vet. He will start training on impulse control next. Rob is in a foster with 3 other Mastiffs and at first was scared of them, but with time and slow intros now they play together and nap together all day long. He loves to play with the 1 year old Mastiff and just rolls around on the ground, it is too funny! Rob loves to cuddle in bed or on the couch and he will be your new shadow. Rob needs a new family who will continue to love him, be patient and gentle with him, and continue his confidence building and training as he learns what life is like outside of a pen in the yard. He is eager to learn and responds very well to positive reinforcement. He would love to have a canine friend too! Rob is being fostered in DFW, Texas. More about RobGood with Dogs
