PLEASE NOTE:GPMR communicates primarily by email. If you have any questions regarding one of our Mastiffs, please read their bio and if you still have questions- drop us an email at email@example.com . If you have questions about our adoption procedures, please go to our Pages of Interest on the left hand column under "Adoption Info." We answer email inquiries almost immediately-usually always within a few hours and phone calls are returned with 24-36 hours.
GPMR does not have a shelter. All of our dogs are kept in loving foster homes. We must have a completed adoption
application on file before meeting any of our mastiffs.
GPMR adopts to the states of Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana and parts of Colorado.
!!!Any mastiffs being adopted out of the state of Oklahoma require a health certificate to be paid for by the adopter!!!
Welcome Kodi to Rescue! This sweet girl has had a rough life prior to coming to GPMR. She suffered some kind of trauma that permanently damaged the nerves in her front leg, and it needed to be amputated. She already was walking 3 legged and dragging that leg, so once she had the procedure it was for her easier to get around. She also has a nasty infection on her tail as well as intestinal parasites, both of which were treated.
Kodi is a sweet girl who gets along well with most dogs. Dogs who are very active and get in her face are a little much for her. But she does well with those who are calmer and have good doggy manners! She does not like to share her food with other dogs so she needs to be separately. She has met cats as well and ignored them. She lived with kids in her previous home and seems to do well with kids too.
Thankully Kodi tested negative for heartworms. Her hips are good but she does have some arthritis in her back. Currently we have her on some supplements to help with joing health.
Kodi had her surgery and is doing great! If you are able to spare any amount to help with Kodi's surgery it would be much appreciated. We have been hit hard with medical Mastiffs this year! But we could not say no to this girl. Look at that face!
