Meet Hercules, Hercules, Hercules! Herc is a playful 1.5 year old owner surrender who came to us mainly because he got too big and was no longer wanted. We think Hercules spent most of his time alone, in a yard and was not worked with much. That’s not all that uncommon when Mastiff puppies grow up and haven’t had any training, they can be a handful. He is 150 lbs and is still growing. He will be a big boy and has that beautiful, wrinkly Mastiff head that is so cute.

Herc is learning to love being inside. He is crate trained and loves, loves to play with toys almost as much as he loves to eat! Because he is so energetic when eating his meals, his foster family has started using a slow-feed bowl, which has helped slow down his enthusiasm a bit. He is starting to learn manners but still needs work. He does love playing with his foster siblings, but his playful energy can be too much for them at times. Fireworks and storms don’t seem to faze him at all.

Because he doesn’t know his own size, a home with no small kids would be best. He would do well in a home that can continue his training and knows how to work with big, strong dogs. We will be requiring his adoptive family to take him through an obedience class. He will make someone a fantastic family member with some love and training. He wants to please and learn so badly and has a loving personality.

Hercules is being fostered in Broken Arrow, OK
