Meet Daisy! She was rescued with her sister Kia when their owner had to move and was not able to keep them. Unfortunately both dogs were pretty underweight when they came in - so the first order of business is fattening them up! She will be 7 in August.

Daisy was so very scared when we first got her. Everything in her life had changed and unfortunately she had to be separated from her sister. She would walk with her head down and tail tucked. After some regular meals and TLC, she's really coming around at her foster home. She's now wagging her tail, bonding with the other Mastiff in the home and has made good friends with one of the kitties!

Daisy had 5 lumps that were removed. One of them came back as cancerous, but it is a type that does not spread to other parts of the body and the Vet said it was completely removed so we should not need to worry about that in the future. Her bloodwork was good and she tested negative for heartworms!

Daisy has recently started leaking urine, we ruled out in infection and the Vet said it is just age related urinary incontinence that we sometimes see in these middle age female Mastiffs. We've started her on a medication called Proin and it is definitely helping. It's a medication she will need to stay on life-long, thankfully when we purchased online it was only $0.35 per pill, so not a costly one.

Daisy would do best in a home without small kids, she's just too timid of a personality to handle the rustle and bustle that comes along with having little ones in the home. She does great with other dogs of all sizes and cats too.

Daisy is being fostered in Edmond, OK.
