Meet Ruth! She is a 4.5 year old fawn Mastiff and truly a gentle lady. Sadly she came to rescue when her owner passed away. Ruth really loves being with people. She is doing well on a leash and is currently undergoing some training to be even better!! She loves nothing more than to get lovings and lounge about.

Ruth currently is fostered with small children and is doing very well (despite one of them using her as an roadway for cars). If kids act inappropriately like pulling on her face or ears, she will give them a correction nip, kind of like a momma dog corrects her puppies. She doesn't hurt them but she is trying to tell them that they are not treating her nicely! Because of this, she needs a home with a dog savvy family with giant breed experience if there are children in the home. A home with kids 5 and up would be best.

Ruth is crate-trained and potty trained. She tolerates most other dogs but is not good with small dogs, so a home with medium to large dogs would be better. She would also be fine as an only dog. She doesn't like active dogs who jump in her face, she prefers calm canine friends. She was evaluated with cats and did great.

Other than needing to lose some weight, she is in good health. Unfortunately she suffered a heating pad burn from her spay surgery which took months to heal and delayed her being ready for adoption. But it's about completely healed so she is good to go!

Please give this very sweet loving girl a relaxing home of her own!

Ruth is being fostered in Broken Arrow, OK.
