GPMR does not have a shelter. All of our dogs are kept in loving foster homes. We must have a completed adoption application on file before meeting any of our mastiffs.
  
GPMR adopts to the states of Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana and parts of Colorado. 
!!!Any mastiffs being adopted out of the state of Oklahoma require a health certificate to be paid for by the adopter!!!

Meet Grimace! He came into GPMR with 5 of his relatives after being rescued by a local SPCA from a neglect situation. The breeder of these dogs was not providing adequate food or any vet care and turned them over to the SPCA. They were extremely underweight when they arrived at the SPCA. All of these dogs lived together and but were not socialized at all outside the home, and so in new situations they are very fearful. We are working on leash training as only one of the dogs knew how to walk on a leash, the rest just dropped to the ground and wouldn't move. All of the dogs had fleas, intestinal parasites, and varying degrees of skin/ear/eye infections. The SPCA did an amazing job getting them started on the road to good health!

Grimace is a typically puppy, he is sweet and playful but can also be a bit rambunctious like any 1 year old Mastiff pup. He is doing OK with his leash training but will need continued leash and basic obedience training in his adoptive home. Grimace cannot be placed in a home with cats, he just thinks they are playthings for him and we don't want a kitty getting hurt.

Grimace is underweight but is in good health otherwise. He's already gained 14 pounds while under our care. He is not as fearful as most of the other dogs in this group. He is fostered in a home with older kids, and could go to a home with kids ages 8 and up.


Grimace is being fostered in Sulphur, OK.
