GPMR does not have a shelter. All of our dogs are kept in loving foster homes. We must have a completed adoption application on file before meeting any of our mastiffs.
GPMR adopts to the states of Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana and parts of Colorado.
!!!Any mastiffs being adopted out of the state of Oklahoma require a health certificate to be paid for by the adopter!!!

Meet our Valentine, Canon! This poor guy was surrendered to a shelter in TX when his owners were going through a divorce and neither one could keep him. They had owned Canon since a puppy so he's pretty confused about all of the changes he is going through right now. This is pretty common for our owner surrendered Mastiffs as they are so sensitive to change and leaving the only home they've ever known can be quite a process for them and they are pretty shy initially as a result. He went into foster care on Valentine's Day.
So far Canon is bonding with his foster parents and being quite the cuddle bug. He does well with the female dogs in his foster home but has not acclimated to the male dog so we are working on that. He also is not recommended for a home with cats. He is thankfully heartworm negative and other than being underweight, he is healthy.
Canon would do best in a family who has experience with the Mastiff breed. Like many we see, he is so shy in new situations and so we are looking for a family who is familiar with this type of Mastiff personality and can help Canon overcome his shyness with positive reinforcement. A home with no kids or older kids (over 12) would be best.
