PLEASE NOTE:GPMR communicates primarily by email. If you have any questions regarding one of our Mastiffs, please read their bio and if you still have questions- drop us an email at info@greatplainsmastiffrescue.org . If you have questions about our adoption procedures, please go to our Pages of Interest on the left hand column under "Adoption Info." We answer email inquiries almost immediately-usually always within a few hours and phone calls are returned with 24-36 hours.
GPMR does not have a shelter. All of our dogs are kept in loving foster homes. We must have a completed adoption
application on file before meeting any of our mastiffs.
GPMR adopts to the states of Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri and parts of Colorado.
!!!Any mastiffs being adopted out of the state of Oklahoma require a health certificate to be paid for by the adopter!!!
Georgia was found as a stray with her sister Betsy. When no one came looking for them, GPMR took them in. We are guessing her age at 1.5 years old. Georgia is a very sweet and outgoing girl. She likes to jump up and put her paws on your shoulders and kiss you in the face. She chases cats so no kitties for her but she would do well in a home with other dogs and older kids.
When Georgia and her sister Betsy came into rescue, they were placed in seperate foster homes. After a few weeks we realized that these girls really missed each other and need to be placed together. Currently they are in boarding at a doggie daycare so that they can be together. We would love to find a home where these bonded sisters can live together. They will need owners who understand that they are just big puppies still and have the patience to work on thier training so these two sisters can be the best girls they can be!
Georgia is heartworm positive but we are treating her with oral medications which will continue to be provided by GPMR until she has completed treatment so she can go home any time. Please feel free to still submit an application for her today!
Georgia is being fostered in Ft. Worth, TX.

Our dogs love to sleep on Kuranda Dog beds, but we don't have enough for everyone. If you would like to donate a bed at a special wholesale price for a another dog to sleep in comfort, please donate a Kuranda dog bed.
