Featured Rescue: Honey
Honey is a 15 Month old Mastiff Mix who came to GPMR in April by way of a TX shelter. We did not know much about Honey but we soon found out she suffered from pain in her right hip. She had an FHO surgery that went all wrong. We were referred to the Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center where they looked at Honey's original Xrays and told us she suffered severe trauma to that leg at a very young age that was never medically treated - possibly a car accident or a hard blow. Honey had another surgery on July 15th to correct the first one. Please consider donating to help defray the costs of Honey's medical care which has well exceeded $2000.00 thus far.

Great Plains Mastiff Rescue is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization made up of volunteers dedicated to saving Mastiffs in need. Our goal is to find a forever home and family for every mastiff that we rescue. We health check each mastiff that comes into our rescue program. This includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, testing for worms and parasites and treatment, heartworm testing and treatment, and microchipping.
GPMR does not have a shelter. Our Mastiffs are cared for by volunteers who foster them until they can find their forever homes.
Currently we are only adopting to the following states:
Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Texas, and parts of Colorado.

Foster Homes Needed!!
One of the most important aspects of rescuing a Mastiff in need is having a foster home available. If we don't have a foster home available, we might have to turn a dog away. You can foster a dog short-term or long-term...you decide. If you can open your home and heart to a Mastiff in need, please fill out our Foster Application under Forms/Applications.
